If there is one Omnipresent Life force throughout existence, then it is safe to say that all who have life have this life from the same source. Whether it be a bird, animal, fish, insect, Alien, a god or God, plant or cell, all will derive their individual life from the very same source.
The life inside you is the Omnipotent and majestic energy that keeps your heart beating and your lungs breathing, you do not have to think about these things they just happen for you. But life is doing this exact same thing for every other living being in existence, but not many people take time to respect the life in their very body, it is taken for granted much like a light switch, usually only when ill health appears or the threat of death do we think about how precious life is.
It has been said to Treat others the way you would wish to be treated, is the golden rule of life. I will briefly explain my understanding of why this rule is so important, take my opinion as you wish, after all, I do not pay your bills so you have no obligation to take me too seriously.
Suppose Life is Alive, (think about that for a moment), Lifeforce is Conscious, Aware, Eternal, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent. The very life force in you is therefore experiencing you, just as it is experiencing every living thing it has given life to in existence everywhere, this would include Alien life forms and all life forms of their various kinds.
From life we come to life we return, our experience in the flesh is but a brief moment in eternity. So, what kind of experience are you giving the life force sustaining you? Karma is the reflection of your soul upon the cosmic universal life force. Your eternal being reaps what you sow. So, whatever you dish out you will receive in some way form shape, or size. Therefore the purpose behind the words “Love your enemies“, is not so much about having compassion for the people who are actively showing you hatred and trying to destroy your life, but more in line with whatever you wish on others will come back to you like a boomerang.
Karma, therefore, is like your reflection in the mirror, how will you make your reflection smile at you? is it not true that whatever you do your reflection will do also? The life within you, which is allowing you to participate in existence, will reflect back to you whatever you are sowing. This does not depend upon your faith in God, your belief in karma, or any superstition you may have, just as your reflection in the mirror is law so life’s reflection of you is the law. So if an atheist does well from the goodness of his heart and the Preacher does good from his legalistic duty, but his heart is not in it, Life will repay them both using the energy and motives they have put out.
In conclusion, the absolute safest way forward in life is to treat all people, friends, and foes, the way you would wish to be treated, and if possible do this from the best energy you have in your heart. These are very easy words to write, but incredibly difficult to live.
